A personal account of gas prices

Including links to gas price resources

How do you keep track of gasoline (petroleum) prices? Maybe you watch the nightly news or read online articles that summarize the latest gas price opinions. Maybe you keep a fuel consumption log, whether it's in a notebook or at a gas price portal.

Maybe you don't keep track at all, and now all of a sudden want to know some historical gas prices. You're in luck. I've kept track of my gas purchases, and decided to publish a subset of the data here at mredkj.com. It's not enough information on which to do statistical analysis, but it gives a rough idea of trends in gas prices.

If you're looking for detailed statistics, the U.S. government has a gasoline price web site, from which you can find regional current and historical prices presented by the Energy Information Administration.
